Download and install CGIDEV2 , from easy400.net. Use the samples
provided as a guide.
There are two areas, programmers and users. You can use 5250 and
develop web for the users, or, use RDi and develop 5250...
It is not hard to replace the 5250 with web using CGIDEV2, and it makes
a big difference for the image of your service. You look modern to them,
even if a power8 with 5250 is also modern, but it does not look like it.
The best part about developing for web is that you do not have the
limits of the 5250, use as wide and long as you want, give the user the
ability to page up and down, to search, etc. You can make it better
looking also.

I work for an old-school 5250/RPG shop, and I'm looking for ways to broaden my horizons. I have basic Java skills, just finished a book on Node, and have "Hello World" level skills in a few other languages. Can anyone suggest good ways to improve? Right now, I feel like a hammer without a nail.
Thanks
