You can be pretty certain that node.js will be around for a while because it has helped resolve the two language dilemma (on for scripting the browser and one for the server) that many people had issues with.

Beyond that PHP is not going anywhere, neither is Python. Personally I prefer PHP but that’s just a personal preference based on familiarity.

You could say the same about .Net but that is still too MS centric for my taste. To be fair to MS they have made major strides in opening it up - but I see little sign of that having made a huge impact.
