I would try that reset of the IOA.
Failing that I would call IBM. Too many times lately I see people on this
list trying an IPL to clear what ENDJOBABN couldn't. I would rather they
involve IBM before that step. This may allow them to avoid the disruption
to their users, and, benefit others in the industry which may run into a
similar situation.

BTW, I failed to call IBM and tried the PWRDWNSYS. It happened to be
during the weekend of our scheduled maintenance window so I figured it
wouldn't be any more disruptive. ENDSBS never fully completed. PWRDWNSYS
never completed. I had to use the HMC to bring the lpar down hard. No
noticeable ill effects. (Note: Always run ENDTCPSVR *CIMOM prior to
running the full ENDTCP!)
