If you've done the DUPMEDBRM, then why don't you expire the old media and
initialize it?

Oh, and don't forget this option when you run the command STRRCYBRM to
generate the report:
Use duplicate media . . . . . . USEDUPMED *YES
It defaults to *NO.

We've been through this several times. We duplicated LTO3 to LTO4 when we
migrated that time. Then we did it again going from LTO4 to VTL.
I have three Power 8's. Not a one of them currently has a physical tape
device attached to them.
