Rob is correct.  The only way to "deactivate" BRMS is to remove the licensed
program products, which would include Media and Storage Extensions, unless
of course you have another tape management product installed, and then the
exit points would need to be updated. 

Simply removing the product does not alter the 70 grace period on the
license.  It will run out on schedule and if you need another 'trial' then
you would have to work with IBM to get them to grant you another key.
Usually that key is only 30 days and a onetime thing.
