Does anyone know whether there is a setting in ACS to ignore data that is too long to fit in a field when transferring to the IBM I from a CSV file.
Under client access it would give you a warning message but continue with the transfer.
However, under ACS it is a hard error which means you either have to shorten the data or increase the length of the data base field.
Most of the time you just want to continue as you do want to continue because it is either a very long column heading, which you are not interested in, or a long description for a text field which is too long for your existing database field anyway.
Cheers
