I think you're getting answers to slightly different questions. In System I Navigator (7.1), the parent table must have a key to create a foreign key constraint. Other methods might not require a parent key (although I think that's a bad idea).

From what I understand about foreign keys, is that the child table is where I need to put the foreign key.

So, I would add the foreign key on CustomerGroup. But, the only 2 columns I can choose from the parent table are CompanyID and Account#. I do not have the option to choose any other columns.

Yes, this is ALL new to me.
