If that's the case, IBM should just say it and be done with it.

I have a customer looking into the "free" OS upgrade now. They've agreed
to share the experience. But, they have their machine hosted on the other
side of the US so it may not be the everyday case.

Granted, I'm still at that level where I confuse certificates and ciphers
and exactly what is related and what is not.
