Perhaps we're trying to squeak by with a tad too little CPU on our
smallest box.
Boss suggested I dynamically lpar 0.05 CPU from one lpar to another.
Not only did the operation time out but every lpar on the system is dead
and I'm showing "Incomplete" for all on the HMC and Manage Serviceable
Events is showing B182953C.
The hypervisor did not read messages from the service processor (or system
controller) within the allotted time. Either the hypervisor is
unresponsive or the PSI links are down.
Opened up sev 1 system down ticket via the web and quickly called in.
After getting the usual inane questions like what business impact is this
ticket really having ("I'm having to answer questions instead of doing
productive work") I'm now on hold listening to bad music and constant
reminders that I'm a fool for using a phone and I really should use their
web site (not that they've called me back on that yet anyway...).
