For completeness and to add to Larry's comment if you use Barracuda and other mail relay appliances then the issue of using MSF or not goes away because the mail relay appliance does all the heavy lifting. Just bounce the emails to the appliance and off they go with auditing in place.

Inbound mails come in through the appliance and get relayed into the IBMi mailboxes, Domino or Exchange.

Problem solved without purchasing any new IBMi software in most cases if you already have working utilities from Brad or any other vendor.

Slight correction.. MAILTOOL Plus (and my other addons for MAILTOOL) don't "fix" the i, they totally bypasses that which is the IBM SMTP/MSF system.
:)

But, if all of your devices use the same mail router/relay, including the i, that should make things much easier to track down when you have issues.
