I assume they mean that IBMi fixes (Product Group System i, Product IBM i) can continue to use clear text, while all other fixes will require SSL (regardless of client).

Oh, were you saying order the fix from IBM i and store it on the IFS there and then have your HMC get it from that lpar of IBM i instead of IBM directly?

Will the "except for IBM i" be limited to only fixes for IBM i? Or will it be open for all transmissions with IBM i? That could be an issue then.
