You also need to determine if the subsystem is single threaded or not, usually it is not, but use

DSPSBSD QBATCH
1. Operational attributes
Maximum jobs in subsystem

to find out that.

An API to find this would be QWRDRSBSD, and the value is in format SBSI0100

To find the Max entries per queue for each queue in a subsystem, you can use QWDLSJBQ if you already know the subsystem, and want all the *JOBQs and their max entries.

If you know the *JOBQ, but not the subsystem you can use QSPRJOBQ to retrieve the subsystem, and max active values for this queue.

Sorry, I forgot to specify that I wanted to do this in a program and then
take an action based on if it was single threaded or not.
