TRCTCPAPP *FTP will only show server output, no client.
Also, I was not seeing any IP addresses in the output.
A recommended alternative, from IBM, is to use:
TRCCNN SET(*ON) TRCTYPE(*IP) TRCTBL(FTP) SIZE(400 *MB) TCPDTA(*TCP (21) ()).
TRCCNN SET(*OFF) TRCTBL(FTP) CCSID(*ASCII)
TRCCNN output shows both source and destination IP, whether the I is server and/or client.
The issue now is I need to run this TRCCNN for at least one month, to capture all FTPs.
Some are daily, some weekly, some monthly.

Subject: RE: Need to know which interface is handling both incoming and outgoing FTP requests.
TRCTCPAPP *FTP not finding any trace output.
TRCTCPAPP SET(*ON) starts the trace
TRCTCPAPP SET(*OFF) normally produces a spoolfile TRCTCPAPP SET(*END) just stops the trace.
