In our environment, some work from home, connected via VPN, but then remote desktop to work computer.
In this scenario, you will not be able to distinguish.

In our network people working from VPN use a particular subnet, let's say 10.55.x.y.
So, on any currently supported OS you could do

select *
from qsys2.netstat_job_info
order by remote_address;

If you have a deep seated phobia of names larger than 10 characters there are work arounds for that.
