If you have java installed on your clients, why not use IBM's new java
based i Access Client Solution for 5250 emulation?

Can be run from a network share, local install not required.

Chrome plugin in only for chrome. Their active x is for IE users and they

list a java version but I can't get their demo to work

years ago on the java version and they said they were killing off that
project but yet today it is still on their site
