Greetings, To summarize this issue. In IBM i 7.1 the Apache 2.2 level is
shipped in the DG1 product. The Apache foundation has stated that there
will be NO additional security patch delivered to this level of Apache
after Dec 31, 2017. IBM is making that same statement. If you are
required to remain PCI compliant and are using the IBM HTTP Server you
will need to migrate to IBM i 7.2 or 7.3 where we have a much newer
version of the Apache server included in the OS. The servers will
continue to work with no issues, just no new security fixes.

Rob,

I don't have access to the *Admin instance at the moment, so I can't check
the version right now. In regard to PCI compliance, I couldn't find any
references to that in the IBM links that you provided. I do understand
however that PCI requires having a supported OS (including HTTP server)
release. Is this just your way of pressing people to upgrade?
