You could construct a poor man version with RDi. Each checkout level would
be a "Connection". So, you'd have a Development connection for
application A, a QA for app. A., and a production for App A. Filter pools
help so that when you create a filter for the source you want to work
with, the filter will be available in every connection as a filter
reference, so you only have to create it once. You'll have to manage the
checkout with copying and compiling manually.
