Roberto,--
How many options do you see for 5733-OPS?
You may need to do, for each option separately,
RSTLICPGM LICPGM(5733OPS) DEV(OPTVRT01) OPTION(1) LNG(2924) RSTLICPGM
LICPGM(5733OPS) DEV(OPTVRT01) OPTION(2) LNG(2924) ...
RSTLICPGM LICPGM(5733OPS) DEV(OPTVRT01) OPTION(15) LNG(2924)
Ensure you have download all 5333-OPS PTFs, latest is SI63666 Then
load/apply ALL the 5733-OPS PTFs
SI63665 will update the descriptions.
You need all the other 5733-OPS PTFs for the various options, 1-15.

Paul,
As a test I restored option 1 again from the udf with 2924 as the language.
It still says "*installed" with no descriptive text and the files are
in the IFS where they are supposed to be (at least for node.js).
Re-applied PTFs and still the names don't come up. It might be that
the names were hardcoded for the english version of the OS? In any
case, I'm doing my rebase from this state (open source moves fast
enough that if I need to use them I'll have to apply PTFs again).
I'm building a few test partitions for some clients we are migrating
to P8 and wanted to have a fully up to date 7.1 installation media done.
Thanks to all!

From another old post.
you need to install them with 2924 Language to get no Error.
RSTLICPGM
LNG(2924)yet).
You may have to install 2924 as a secondary language.

Paul, That, I believe, is as intended, since OPS is only offered in
english (or that is what I read). Primary language is 2931 (spanish)
and there is no secondary language installed.

Paul, I had the image loaded into a catalog, then installed from "1.
install everything", pointed to the optvrt and installed. had to
manually restore *base due to the missing 2931 language, but other
than that base shows *¨noprimary and the rest show *installed then
again, after the ptf it still doesn't show the names so maybe it's
wrong. Haven't even checked how to test each option (I know it
must be from the shell, but really, since I don't use them I
didn't check
*compatible?Here's how they show:

Roberto,
5733OPS doesn't get installed with the normal "install licpgm"
Download base
F_MULTI_NLV_110_IBM_i_Open_Source_Solutions_LCD8_2252_00.udf
from IBM site.
Add to image catalog.
RSTLICPGM LICPGM(5733OPS) DEV(OPTVRT01) OPTION(10) RSTLICPGM
LICPGM(5733OPS) DEV(OPTVRT01) OPTION(11) Etc for each option.
Then load/apply the 5733OPS PTS.
The PTF apply actually does the install.
Not your normal LPP product.

All the options installed thru the normal "install licpgm" menu,
but the Base always failed since it only has 2924 language files.
Do I have to restore each option as well? even though they say
midrange-l.placeholder.Will check that PTF, I'll have to re-do my re-base dvds, just to
be complete...
Thanks!

Roberto,
SI63665 is the PTF that will give you the LPP Text.
You need to RSTLICPGM for each option first, it's simply a

Is there a PTF for 7.1 to bring the correct names? I was just
working on a
7.1 LPAR, just to have them I put the OPS tools but even with
the latest groups they are still blank. Also, when the system
has a primary languange different from 2924, is installing via
RSTLICPGM and forcing 2924 the only way to install?

latest ptf for opsver.sh is SI63551

For those that would like the names of the various 5733OPS

Clearly if you wish to manually update, that'll work too.
