In regard to z/VSE, that appears to be one of the 4 - just a z/OS name
change, AFAIK.
VSE is a mainframe guest OS that apparently runs under Z/OS.
Previously it used to run under VM. We ran VM/VSE on an
ES9000 for a few years :)
