Ok I tried to insert you select into my statement but it is not working. How would I incorporate your select into mine?
   SELECT *
   FROM PROD/tlog
   WHERE ttmpstmp > (select timestamp(current_date - 1 day)
                     		from sysibm/sysdummy1)
      AND tstep > 2
      AND tsystem = 'XXXXXXXX'
     GROUP BY tcntnbr

select timestamp(current_date - 1 day)
from sysibm.sysdummy1
Is better choice, indexes over your timestamp field would be used.
