Aside from the security issues that Rob points out, we have seen zero problems with the V7R1 groups/cumulative generally. There are always the specialty items that sometimes cause grief, but they are rare.
Recently Infor put out a notice not to put on the latest Java group due to something in there that causes a problem with LX but that's the only problem I've seen in some time.

Any issues at v7r1 and have cume up to mid 2016..?

Lots and lots and lots. Out of date ciphers causing issues with many browsers for one.
But I suppose your question is more geared towards the "does applying certain PTFs cause issues" genre. I can't help you there, I've not been on
7.1 in years. One of the many risks in running ancient versions of the OS is that many of the people who do, no longer apply PTF's so you can no longer stand on the shoulders of those who blaze the trail before you because there are few, if any left. Many of us have forgotten several of the pains of upgrading from 7.1 because it has been so long since we've upgraded. Then again, with the end of service for 7.1 less than a year out, there may be a new flock.

Any issues at v7r1 and have cume up to mid 2016..?
