To add to Nathan's post, an additional function that I would like to be able to handle would be to have multiple constraint errors returned instead of one at a time. On a recent project where I could have used RI, I chose not to, for the simple fact that the user wanted to see more than one-at-a time error messages pertaining to a screen, rather than, get a message, fix a field, press enter, get another message for a different field, fix it, press enter, get another message for a different field, fix it, press enter, etc.

The users are used to seeing multiple error messages displayed in a message SFL with the "More..." where they can scroll through the messages, and fix all errors on the screen before pressing enter again.
