Since you are upgrading to 7.2 I would start out here:

Read "*both*" the 7.1 and the 7.2 MTU

Then in the "Reviewing software PTF (fix) requirements" at

Click on "Finding the latest PSP information", then keep following
Eventually you'll get to "7.2 Updates and PTFs". After you expand (not
select) that you will see "Required PTFs for upgrading to IBM i 7.2"
It does take persistence, but you'll get there.
