There is a management port on Power 8's (and I believe earlier models)
that is different than the standard ethernet. That, and our "standard
ethernet" is fiber and the management is copper.
On our models there are two Management ports. And they are on the very
bottom left back of the unit. Do not look in the card slot areas.
