Hi Vinay
If you choose an outq and run the command over that outq, press F11, I believe you will see it in RDY status first followed by SAV staus (already printed), but within each status, it is in chronological order and the time I believe is when the spool file is closed (although not too sure on this point)

Subject: WRKOUTQ list sequence

Does anyone know in what order the spooled files are displayed in WRKOUTQ command?

I have a program which creates 2 spooled files, one Detail and one Summary (defined as USROPN). I tried changing the spool file names, the order in which they are opened but WRKOUTQ always shows Detail first.

We are using a third party software to merge spool files, and it looks like they are using this command to get the spool file names, as it always ends up with Detail first in the merged spool file.

And of course, client wants the Summary first.

I am thinking that if we can somehow make the Summary show up first in WRKOUTQ, my problem will be solved.

Any suggestions?

TIA
Vinay
