Hi Darryl
Need some things clarified
Why is MAX not a solution in this case - especially when you then say
The test is on the max of date and time, (2 fields).
What is the LAST record - the last record entered based upon the max date
and time?
You will need to combine BOTH of these fields and create a timestamp -
that way you will need to get the record with the latest timestamp

Subject: Is there something like FETCH FIRST 3 ROWS ONLY but I need FETCH
LAST ROW
I am using a SELECT to retrieve a value from a table. For some records,
there are more than 1 results.
Is it possible to do a SELECT to get the last occurrence of a value
without need to define dynamic SQL and read all records until I get the
last record?
Using MAX is not a solution in this case.
The test is on the max of date and time, (2 fields).
This is a V7.1 system.
TIA
Darryl Freinkel.
