I don't know if FTP errors will show up in QSYSOPR - they should be in the job log of the FTP server job - but that's hard to catch, sometimes.

Maybe do each FTP subcommand on the other system, once you connect, do this - WORKOBJLCK YOURUSRORF *USRPRF to see the jobs using your profile - one should be a QFTP* job.

Do each subcommand, then check that job you found. After you get the error on the source system, go to the server job, if it's still there, and see what you see.
