Getting rid of the on-premise mapping software was a strategic choice based completely off of that specific company's unethical license transfer fee pricing schedule.

The 3rd party EDI provider is cloud based, therefore no license transfer fees. And the new annual fee is equivalent to the annual license fees we were paying.

So you are getting rid of you mapper so that you can manually map a different file? Interesting choice. Maybe you can tell them to just send fixed format records with the record name as the first 10 characters. Then if should be simple to handle in RPG.
