Do you think it's safe to IPL the system, so TCP can start?
If I can get TCP to start then the TCP/IP servers can start and I can get the i5/OS NetServer running, which should allow me to access the IFS.
There are no halts or SRC codes.
I tried STRTCP and it won't start because the system is in a restricted state.
Since the LIC and base OS was installed OK, only several licensed programs failed,
it should be OK to boot this thing, right?

Continuing Saga of upgrading to v7r3...

I think I have a real problem now.

The upgrade ran in about 45 minutes (from the image catalog) but I received the dreaded /Automatic installation did not complete/ message, but no halts.

So, I did the Display Install History process and there were a whole lot of License Key Information not found messages.
From what I can surmise, when I did the License Acceptance steps, I selected more than we had previously had installed on v7r1.
But, there were also missing licenses for 5770 QU1 (IBM Query for i), 5770 ST1 (DB2 Query Mgr and Sql Dev Kit),
5770 BR1 (BRMS), 5770 WDS (Ratl Dev Studio for i), and 5733 WQX (IBM DB2 Web Query for i).
I'm confident we had all those on v7r1.
I definitely did all the license acceptances that came up. And I ran that PC Update Verification program and everything was checked off perfectly.

Ok, so I have to go through that acceptance stage again, right?
But when I executed the LODIMGCLG again, to ready the Image Catalog, it failed on one of the files.
So, download it again, right?

But I can't access the IFS to do that. The one session I have is in the QSYSSBD subsystem and the IFS isn't available
via PC mapping, ftp, etc.

So, how do I get a new downloaded file needed to replace the one in the error state onto my IFS so I can do the ADDIMGCLGE command for it?

Am I screwed and have to recover from my v7r1 backup?
Please say no.

Thanks, Rob, for info on RMVIMGCLGE.
I'm surprised there was no option for it on the WRKIMGCLG panel.
I did use it, and your suggestion of renaming the files to use the .iso suffix instead of .udf.
The LODIMGCLG command then found only two more files that it didn't like.

I found another way to download them directly to the server (used GotoMeeting to an unused PC at the server site
and downloaded the needed files from there). I also used the HTTP method.
I unzipped them, and now everything loads, verifies, and I was able to Accept License Agreements.

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. Couldn't have gotten this far without you.

Remove the images from the image catalog. Do not use option 4.  Use the
command RMVIMGCLGE instead.  It has this parameter:
      Keep image file  . . . . . . . . KEEP           *YES
Rename the files in the IFS directory containing them.
Call the API again.
