You're doing sftp or ftps? sftp operates an ftp-like interface on top of
the SSH protocol, whereas ftps is SSL-enabled FTP. sftp is binary in/out
only - it does no conversion of the data while using ftps will because
it's built in to the IBM i FTP server.
