The reason I asked that is because your log shows this "<?xml 
version="1.0"?><soapenv:Envelope x" -- that's all... the document stops 
at that point, even though it says that it is 554 bytes long.

The error message says "unexpected character x" which makes perfect 
sense iif it really ends with just the letter "x" and nothing after it.

You need to figure out why it is not sending the whole document.
