I'm sorry, I meant the actual 7.1 tape. No one does an OS upgrade without a full save first (in fact, we did 2 tapes).

this will work if one saves to TGTRLS(V7R1) on V7R3. Otherwise... not :)

That's what I was thinking. Restore your 7.1 full save and then load your data from the latest 7.3 save.
