Justin,
Do you also have the SPECTRE/MELTDOWN fixes installed?
We're also seeing an increase in CPU since upgrading to V7R3 on 2/25.
P7 8205-E6C
I'm still gathering the perf data numbers.
We're seeing an increase runtime on a batch job that talks to a remote server.
Also other variables I need to factor in.

We ran a dummy end of day on our HA box and we found 5-10% increase in job runtimes so these figures look accurate

IBM release benchmarking result yesterday.
According to them after Spectre/Meltdown fixes, CPW and rPerf for Power8 and Power are 5%-6% down after the fixes.

There is good news with respect to the Google action on SPECTRE/MELTDOWN.
Since IBM was called out along with Intel in a Wall Street Journal report I've got customers that would not allow me to apply Groups/Cumulative for over a year to allow it now. We are going nuts getting it all done but at least they are allowing it.
The other good news is it allowed me to have the V7R1 is not supported soon discussion with senior leadership and now we are getting the go ahead to do some upgrades. IT guys claiming the Senior Execs were stopping them.
Senior Execs saying they know nothing about the end of support. Leads you to wonder where the roadblock really was, does it not.....
So far 15 partitions and not a single hitch. Fingers crossed.
