The "Digital Manager" responsible for the IBM i equipment thinks calling IBM
is beneath him, ever since he got chewed out by the woman assigned as the
Priority Support representative.
Shortly thereafter, he dropped that part of the support agreement.
He get nervous when I mention that I'm writing a book about my career, and
there's a whole chapter about him and his employer.

Subject: RE: Anybody got a copy of level 42 of PTF group 99701?
Hopefully the first call ends with , "that was fixed by PTF... which came
out in level 43".
Here's something to consider
IBM i 6.1 reached normal end of support on 9/30/2015
IBM i 6.1 reaches end of extended support on 9/30/2018
However they've not issued a cume for 6.1 since 13 Mar 2015. Basically 6
months before end of general support.

And the last hiper was10/6/15. Basically a week after end of general
support.

Hmm, you really get a lot for that extended support, eh?
Hint: Don't expect any "last hurrahs" for 7.1 either.
