Ok. now we're on the same page. :)
Any idea what the other ports are for, and why one has a lit up green arrow
above it? Just for curiosity's sake.

Yes we deal mostly with Rack Mounting. Thus you have to mentally rotate
the picture in your head so that the unit is flat. The correct rotation
will put the Power Supplies at the bottom and the big air vent across the
top.
Yes that makes the right most port in your view the top port on that card.

You and Rob both mentioned "top port". Those are HMC1 and 2. My towerThis is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list
they're down on row c10. There are 4 ports. The right most one was my
LAN
port.

Well the top port is the one used for the LAN Console. Don't know if you
use a direct cable for that or not but if you do certainly assure that
one
is in T1. (Numbers go T1 top to T4 bottom)
The rest of the ports depend on what you used them for. If they all go to
the same switch then it really shouldn't matter and something else is
then
afoot.
But always remember the 'Foghorn Leghorn Rule'

cables from the back of my 41A
I plugged them back in (the first two on p1-c10, one has the green arrow
above it lit) and can't seem to get connectivity back to them now.
I can't get a LAN console either as that IP address isn't responding now
either to pings or anything.
I tried an IPL from the panel, no dice.
Any ideas? Thanks!
