You don't have to remove the guest profile, although I'd recommend it if you can.

You shouldn't have the Guest profile enabled.
Instead, each user would prompted for the credentials first time only when accessing the mapped drive.
The IFS objects will then show who created them.

Years back, we had Guest profile enabled.
It was a security flaw, it needed to be disabled.
