We do not use the IBM i system directory for emailing. We use SNDEMAIL
which uses the QTmmSendMail API. This allow you to specify your own
sender and recipients. We have our own files to group recipients by
application, etc. We have ways of checking to see if any recipients in
those files are internal and they are no longer valid in our email system.

We also used the command exit points when we migrated to trap for any
email use of SNDDST and automatically convert it to SNDEMAIL. It also
logged it so that we could modify the application at our leisure.
