We also have a product called IBM Secure Identity Manager (ISIM). No one
has an IBM i account who does not have a Windows account. We set up the
password expiration interval on Windows a little shorter than IBM i just
because we like the password rules Windows and ISIM working together use a
little better than IBM i. This product automatically syncs their accounts
(and Notes). You can add other stuff if you want (AIX). Not everyone
needs an account in all of them though. For example, not every user has a
Notes account.
It has kiosk ability to reset passwords with the usual challenge questions
and all but we've never implemented that.
