You may want to check out Teamviewer. There is a desktop app and an iOS app. Easy setup and configuration.

Check out 2X/Parallels. Requires some setup from the network guys, but will let you connect to your work PC, and thence wherever you're permitted to go.

Works on my iPad, so I assume... But that's a teensy-weensy little screen to access the system... especially if your work desktop has 2 (or more) monitors!

Is there an iPhone app to connect to corp network VPN, then remote desktop to work PC?

Currently, from my home laptop, wirelessly, I first connect to corp network VPN, which uses a DUO Mobile authentication.
Then I remote desktop to work PC, from which I can do any required process.
