I'm a longtime JTOpen (JT400) programmer. jdbc.

There are also Db2 connectors. They are licensed products, but there are
emerging open source connectors blessed by Rochester.

You might come discuss this in IBMiOSS on Ryver .. the real gurus on
connectivity are there, e.g., Aaron Bartell.

I've come to the conclusion for web modernization the way to go is *no
connector*: Microservices in Node.js on the IBM i and the Linux front end
calls those services to produce user content.
