Thanks for pointing that out. That property is set as you suggest.

Pretty sure caching only applies after the initial load, and since most of
our users shut their PCs off overnight, the first load has to happen each
day to be cached. The biggest part of the payload is the JRE. None of our
end users have a local copy of java installed, for a variety of reasons.
We've been considering installing java locally for select end users until
more bandwidth is available.

There is a setting in config properties file that might help with
connecting:

"Setting the property com.ibm.iaccess.DataCache=true will reduce
working set size and will significantly reduce startup times when the
product jar file is remote (e.g network share)."
