That's QShell ... it runs in ILE. Nothing to do with Unix at all. The
programs (commands) that run in QShell are ILE programs. It is just a
"shell" that lets you work with the IFS of OS/400, i5/OS or IBM i in a
way that "looks like" a Unix style shell.
Now, if you had asked about PASE, e.g. CALL QP2TERM, then I can tell you
that it is based on AIX, but always at least one release prior to the
current version of IBM i ... so if you are on IBM i 7.1, it would be AIX
6.1, and so on.
