First of all there are database catalogs which can translate from "system"
or short name to long name. For example there is a table called
SYSPARTITIONSTAT. However since that is more than 10 characters there is
a shorter system name also. There is a table you can query which can give
you both names. Perhaps this is your issue?

Next, all objects should have a created by user
Object . . . . . . . : IIM
Library . . . . . : ERPLXF
Created by user . . . . . . . . . . : BPCSCNV
That may be of assistance.

Then there's journalling.
CPYAUDJRNE ENTTYP(CO)
SELECT * FROM qtemp.qauditco WHERE COOTYP ='*FILE'
This will tell you job, user, program used to create it and just about
everything else.
