They probably got rid of that HMC because it didn't support the latest 
version of HMC code, which would have been needed for a newer Power 
system.  Either that or they dumped Power systems altogether.
What version of HMC code can you run on that HMC?

Frankly the Power system is a waste of time and money.  It's too old to 
teach you anything.  Any version of IBM i you could load on it would 
require a software key, "IF" you could even get one it's not worth the 
price for the home hobbyist.
But that HMC might be of some interest to someone with a less than current 
Power system who would like to learn about HMC and have a nice remotely 
accessible console.
