Jeff,

What your FTP client using SSL is FTPS, not SFTP. They're two different
animals. Yes, confusing I know. :)

This article by Scott Klement should help:

All,

We will have the "opportunity" to transmit some sales information to one of
our vendors in a few weeks. This is the info I have regarding the actual
electronic transmission:

"2. Regarding electronic communications, our preferred protocol is to use
SFTP. This will require sending data to PepsiCo over port 22 as well as the
use of SSH (known host) keys. Depending on the type of data included in
the file, it may also be required to encrypt the data sent over the secure
FTP channel. We do not have any formal documentation for trading partners
on encryption, we normally provide some web sites that may be of
assistance."

I want to do it directly from the IBM i in batch and I assume this is
possible.

Is the following it? Or something else?

FTP RMTSYS(BLAHBLAH.COM) PORT(22) SECCNN(*SSL)
