Not sure if it's relevant here, but I wrote some Java compile CL command wrappers for compiling Java code from the green screen a couple years back for a presentation on writing CL System Commands that use Java.
I'm happy to post somewhere if anyone's interested.
The idea was to take the excuses away for not using Java even if you only know green screen.

No, but jEdit on the workstation with the SFTP plugin + Midnight Commander on the server with the F2-key menu programmed correctly do!!
