Your log seems to have clipped anything after a comma. eg. this line
   debug2: we sent a password packet
   should read
   debug2: we sent a password packet, wait for a reply
   I'm not sure whether the missing data is necessary, but it would be nice
   to have.
   In any event, based on what is in the log it would appear that after
   sending a password packet your remote server is not replying but instead
   just closing the connection. That seems odd to me. The server's log might
   shed some light on the problem, but of course you don't have access to
   that. You may have to contact the system owner and see if they can figure
   it out.
   Can you connect to the server normally? It's just the expect script which
   fails?
