I would recommend you set up authorization lists for this. The reason being that when you use the EDTOBJAUT command to change authority, you will need exclusive access to the object. For heavily used objects, that access may be difficult to obtain. I have heard that, in the past, authorization lists were slow, but since that time have been told that their performance has improved. The last place I set up authority, I used authorization lists, and they worked fine.
