the first thing to check is your printer configuration.. are you using the
right manufacturer and model or just a generic *HPII?
if there is no match for your specific model... then you have to customize
your WSCST ..
in theory, if you look in the printer configuration... you are using a
WSCST ... and if you look in the WSCST... (you can retrieve it..)
then you will see what command is sent for DRAWER(1)... DRAWER(2) etc...
So you look in the technical manual of your printer what is the command
corresponding to tray 1, tray 2...
then if you match in the WSCST the command send for tray 1 to DRAWER(1)
etc... everything should work...

How? By doing just what you've been doing! Pick a number and see which
tray is used. }:

Subject: What drawer does CHGSPLFA DRAWER() represent?
Hi,
...
All windows printers report their trays as a name (e.g. "Tray 1" or
"Multi-feed Tray") but the value passed in the DRAWER() parameter is
numeric (i.e. 1-255). How do I determine which physical tray on the
printer that DRAWER() parameter represents?
