Yeah, scary.
But there ARE servers out there that can't be moved to new boxes/clouds due to old licensed software that
can't be upgraded (i.e. failed ANZOBJCVN) or have serial number checks that will fail on other boxes.

Nothing new there, but are there really any solutions for _those_ people?
